【MyWinterHoliday英语作文】Winter holiday is one of the most exciting times of the year for me. It is a time when I can take a break from school and spend quality time with my family and friends. This year, my winter holiday was very special because I had a lot of fun and learned something new.

The winter holiday usually starts after the final exams, and this year it began on January 1st. I was very excited because I had planned to travel with my parents. We went to a small mountain village called Xiangshan. It was very cold, but the snow made everything look beautiful. We built a snowman, had a snowball fight, and even tried skiing for the first time. Although I fell down many times, I didn’t feel tired or sad. Instead, I felt happy and proud of myself.

During the holiday, I also spent some time at home. I helped my mother cook traditional Chinese food like dumplings and rice cakes. My grandmother taught me how to make them, and I found it very interesting. Cooking with her made me feel closer to my family. In the evenings, I watched movies and read books that I had been wanting to read for a long time. I even started learning how to play the piano, which was a new experience for me.

Another thing I did during the winter holiday was to visit my grandparents. They live in a quiet town, and every time I go there, I feel relaxed. We talked a lot, and I listened to their stories about their childhood. Their experiences gave me a new perspective on life.

In addition to these activities, I also used my holiday to study. I reviewed what I had learned in school and prepared for the coming term. I realized that even though I was on vacation, it was still important to keep my mind active.

Overall, my winter holiday was a mix of fun, learning, and family time. I enjoyed every moment and felt grateful for the opportunity to have such a meaningful break. I hope that next year will be just as wonderful.
